PRODUCT DESIGN STUDIO
Product design studio is one of the courses introduced at a primary level to all engineering aspirants in first year. The course enables them to improve their abilities in various dimensions. It aims at enabling design thinking process and prototyping skills using practice-based approach – both in thought process & hands – on working. Students should be able to apply design thinking methodology on their future projects.

Trade I: Sketching
Draw a Product in different views
Choose a Product which has minimum of 5 parts and draw its Exploded view
Creating Story Board by using basic Sketching
Trade II: Clay Modeling & Trade III: CAD Modeling and 3D Printing Technology
Design a Pen drive with modeling software and build model in 3D printer
Design a Screw Driver with modeling software and build model in 3D printer
Design a Lamp with modeling software and build model in 3D printer
Trade IV: Wood Working
Making a Trophy from wooden block
Making a square base Pyramid from wooden block
Making a cross half lap Joint
Trade V: Sheet Metal
Making a rectangular tray from Galvanized sheet
Sankalp :
Sankalp means Resolution.Sankalp was initiated with an intention and a resolution to teach, help, enable and encourage a creative bent of thought process among the freshmen engineering students, where multi disciplinary academic projects are built by them as a part of the course Product Design Studio and are showcased.
