About Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Machinery

Fluid Mechanics is defined as the science which deals with the study of behaviour of fluids either at rest or in motion. It has applications in a wide range of disciplines, including mechanical, civil, chemical and biomedical engineering, geophysics, oceanography, meteorology, astrophysics, and biology.

This lab is well-equipped with state of art equipment and enables the students to understand the fundamentals of fluid mechanics and hydraulic machines .In this lab, the students will test the performance of turbines and pumps with different parameters and also calculate their efficiencies and coefficient of discharges and also find the losses in Pipelines.
