Background & Need

Our country is a home for one-third of the world’s visually impaired population, these people are facing lot of problems in their day-to-day life, hence it’s very much important to address their needs and make the world a better place for them.

In order to understand the problems of visually impaired people we had visited Louis Adarsha Blind School(Reg.No:10627/2000) for multiple times , which is located in Warangal urban district of Telangana state and interacted with the faculty and students of that school.

We had a long discussion with Mr. Pasha (in charge and tutor of blind school),when we asked him about their day-to-day problems, he told us that they are facing difficulty in identifying the new currency notes, he also requested us to develop a device which could tell them the exact denomination of the currency.

Background and Need

Stress is a feeling of emotional or physical tension. It can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Stress is our body's reaction to a challenge or demand. In short bursts, stress can be positive, such as when it helps us to avoid danger or meet a deadline. But when stress lasts for a long time, it may harm our health. In an ethnographic study, it is observed that the stress management system is required, whenever a person has to work out his assignment consistently with a high concentration which reflects directly or indirectly over social welfare and needs. The human efforts reflect in the area of transportation, where the consciousness of the driver and supporting staff plays a vital role. Similarly, in government offices, IT sectors the continuous efforts of the human brain is required and essential to achieving the target.

In our country 78 million people are living in slum areas. WHO and health index of Indian slum

Globally, while a significant number of individuals have moved out of slums, the absolute number of slum dwellers has actually increased over the years. Latest estimates from developing regions indicate that the proportion of urban population living in slums has declined from 39 percent in 2000 to 33 percent in 2012. However, the absolute number of slum dwellers in urban areas from this region has increased from 760 million to 863 * (Corresponding author. I. Gupta, P. Guin) million for the same period. Comparative slum statistics from India revealed the same pattern; percent of slum dwellers marginally decreased from 24 percent (in 2001) to 22 percent (in 2011), while absolute numbers increased from 52 million to 65 million.

Background and need of the project

India is an agricultural country. About seventy percent of our population depends on agriculture. One-third of our National income comes from agriculture. Our economy is based on agriculture. The development of agriculture has much to do with the economic welfare of our country. Our agriculture remained under developed for a long time. We did not produce enough food for our people. Our country had to buy food-grains from other countries, but the things are changing now. India is producing more food-grains than its needs. Some food-grains are being sent to other countries. Great improvements have been made in. agriculture through our five year plans. Green Revolution has been brought about in the agricultural field. Now our country is self-sufficient in food-grains.

SHE BRACELET

Background & Need

Now-a-days we are coming across many brutal crimes especially on women. In spite of the advancement in technology the crime rate is increasing day by day. ‘She Bracelet’ is a women accessory which may protect women from dangerous situations. The current situations and environment has become a threat to women particularly in India. The crime rate is rising day by day on women. For every 60 minutes a woman is being molested or harassed somewhere or other but these are going unreported. Our contribution for ending this is the “SHE BRACELET” which is a protection accessory. This consists of a GPS chip and GSM facility in it with a button. A C-code which is programmed can function such that when the button is pressed the GPS in the bracelet tracks the location of the victim and sends message alerts to the guardians. So the location of the victim can easily be identified and gets quicker assistance
