Workshop on Engineering Educator Training Program in SR Engineering College

The following list of faculty members completed 'Engineering Educator Training Program' in SR Engineering College from 22/7/2017 to 18/01/2018. The course was planned similar to 'International Engineering Educator Certificate Program' from IUCEE. Dr. A.Subba Rao and Dr. J. Tarun Kumar were coordinators of this program. 2016-17

Summit at KLE Technological University, Hubli

Dr. Syed Musthak Ahmed and Dr. A. Subba Rao attended Gurukul Summit at KLE Technological University, Hubli from 28/07/2016 to 29/07/2016. They attended KLETU Faculty Conclave sessions on 27/11/2016. In this, several faculty members of the university presented papers based on inter departmental projects and they also mentioned research work that should be published in journals based on the work for the projects. Dr. Syed Musthak Ahmed is the coordinator for the workshop and all IUCEE members were involved in the conduction of the event.

There was discussion between Gurukul members of various consortium colleges on 29/11/2016 on Ph.d program in Engineering Education, role of IUCEE in guiding Gurukul, OBE certification course, Strategic planning and developed few action plans for the same.

An FDP program on was conducted "Blended Course on Teaching" at SR Engineering College on 10/05/2016. Dr. Velankar was the facilitator for the FDP program. 20 faculty members participated in the workshop

Workshop on "Design and Implementation of Student Centered Learning" in SR Engineering college

A faculty development workshop was conducted on "Design and Implementation of Student Centered Learning" on 3rd and 4th Jan 2016 in SR Engineering college. The workshop was aimed at understanding the importance of student centered learning, developing and modifying content in a way that is relevant to the participants, students, designing and implementing individualized formative assessment strategies and planning classroom instruction to achieve student engagement. Ms. Avneet Hira, Purdue University was the resource person for the workshop. 39 faculty members from SR Engineering College, SRITW participated actively in the workshop. Dr. A. Subba Rao was the co-coordinator of the workshop

Inspection by IUCEE Expert for the sanction of Gurukul Centre

Dr. Velankar, Director of IUCEE iGLOBE Program, visited our college on 09/05/2016. to inspect our facilities and records for sanction of Gurukul center under IUCEE to SR Engineering College. He was satisfied with facilities and work progress under IUCEE at SR Engineering Collge. Later Gurukul Center was sanctioned to SR Engineering College.

Participation in World Engineering Education Forum in Dubai

Four faculty members Dr.V. Mahesh Dan(R&D), Dr. G.V. Praveen, HOD (CE), Dr.C. Venkatesh, HOD (EEE), Dr. A. Subbarao, Assoc.Prof./ECE of SR Engineering college participated in International Forum WEEF2014 (World Engineering Education Forum), which was held in Dubai from 03/12/2014 to 06/12/2014.
